Quito is located in the Andean Mountains, at the foot of Mt. Pichincha, at an altitude of 9350 feet
(Mt. Pichincha is just over 15,000 feet ). The dome of the volcano faces towards the Pacific Ocean
so the main problem for Quito is the ashes from the volcano
